A new challenge

September 28th

Tomorrow I will go back to work after almost two weeks of medical leave. Any bets how many unread emails will I have? I think over 500 will be waiting for me in the inbox. I shudder just thinking about it. The noise and chaos and pointless hurrying and inane conversations… Tomorrow also will be the day I turn in my resignation letter. According to the local labor laws, my notice period is 3 months, so I will end my employment at my current company right before Christmas and will start 2022 with a clean slate and a new job. I think some people might in for a surprise by this resignation, my boss among them. I still will have those 3 months to work there (sight) but I also have a plan. I will use my vacation days, I think I have 12 to use before the end of the year, and I might get a cheeky medical leave for a week or two during that period for mental health reasons. I definitely will not be going there every day, I will try to have another trip or two during that period. I will try to enjoy myself and have fun.

I feel very fortunate and happy that I was able to arrange my life this way. I am not afraid of change, I cannot wait for something new, for a new challenge. I feel ready and strong and determined.
