Brothers and sisters

Yes, we are — we are all genetically related on an extremely close level. Skin color and facial features and hair type and eye color are just small nuances developed over a few hundred generations in response to localized climate and weather and topography and various natural constraints. It cannot be argued otherwise with all the proof from discoveries from paleology and genetics and linguistics. And since we are all related we come from the same place — and everything points for this place being located in East Africa. Why is it so hard to accept?
And that happened twice so there is twice the evidence! Once with the original dispersion of homo sapiens about 100.000 years ago, and then with the second wave about 50–60.000 years ago. The proof is direct with bone fragments and settlements sites discovered by paleontologists and archeologists and by modern analysis of the human genome and its varieties and mutations. Even if a generation ago there could be doubt and some scientists were favoring a multi-regional development of modern humans, that view cannot any longer stand up to rational scrutiny.
I understand that the origin of us as species and the development of consciousness and life skills that let our ancestors survive and thrive in all climates and geographical locations might not be the most important topic for a lot of people. The way we evolved from just a bipedal and a tiny bit smarter primate from other primates to the way we are now is not something that is interesting for everybody. It is for me — I hope to find out, to discover some common elements in our psyche that are shared now and were shared over the previous generation by every single specimen of homo sapiens.
In that search, the most important to me is the understanding of ingrained symbols and the customary understanding of life in its irrational aspects — what led us to create religions and social divisions and art and culture and humor and music and poetry — the abstract understanding and application of useless myths and emotions to something tangible and still relevant. There has to be some basic common point when it started among a small group of proto-humans and was shared — knowingly or unconsciously — throughout the population until today.
I will find that knowledge.
I know that this is a very lofty goal, and many others before me tried to achieve it and failed. Many much smarter and more intelligent and more resourceful and more logical people than me. No matter — that is my goal and I know I just need time and knowledge to create a systematic understanding of the subject and come to conclusion through the analysis of all the separate pieces of information I can find — in a book like that above for example. One of many I already read and digested, and a jumping point to another on that subject that will be forthcoming shortly.
