Burden of the future

I have a clear message — to myself and to anyone who wants to listen — if we want to progress as a human race, we must begin by looking back at the past and piecing together everything that, through that time, was denied to us by so-called leaders — political or religious or social. To know the truth about ourselves and the world, we cannot blindly accept what we are being told about the origins of civilization. If we fail to recognize the significance of the elder culture in our own times, then we will only add to and compound the already happening tragedy of our lives and times. And we cannot say we didn't have enough warnings…

We seem to behave like children without a teacher or a parent. A stern teacher or parent. We are going through our lives without any sense of responsibility in relation either to our past heritage (except imbecilic and fake nationalistic or racial heritages) or to the planet as a whole. We don't want to understand who we really are and where we come from, and that is why we will stumble blindly in the future, putting all the current human burden on future generations. What we are bringing forward is the uncontrollable and rampant nihilism and destruction of the world and all the social bonds within, without realizing that our light (individual or collective) can be switched off at any moment. Our future is the past experience of the Ozymandias (do they still teach this poem in schools?) — when our history and our achievements will be nothing but scattered crumbled remains across the violent and blood-soaked landscape of desolation and pain.
