“Why do you hate your children and your grandchildren?”
“Why do you hate your country that you are willing to let it rot and go to waste?”
“Why are you willing to sell the future of upcoming generations for a few trinkets you will receive now?”
“Why can’t you accept that nothing is free and somebody else now or in the future will have to pay for the crumbs you get from the master’s table?”
So many questions I want to ask, NO — scream out at the majority of people who surround me. We all have brains, and we know history, and we can deduct causation of things — and yet, the majority of people are completely willing to forgo any thought about the future for immediate gain (or rather a handout). I don't feel particularly angry at that, I have time to get used to the idiocy that is politics, but every time elections are upcoming — this burning disappointment boils over and makes me question sanity — mine and everybody else's.
Now it is time for promises — everything will be free, everything will be easy, there will be plenty of money, everybody will get their share. No questions or answers on how much all of those promises will cost, or who eventually will have to pay. Both sides avoided this subject with all their might — with unspoken agreement, so nobody will be called on this pathetic bullshit. And yes — it is all so pathetic and naive beyond redemption. Grown people feel compelled to believe lies and clap their hands to the biggest bullshiter and the best liar.
I don't feel I fit anywhere within the scope of modern political and social movements. I don't feel like a prophet who can predict the future, but with just a minimal brain effort, I see that we are going to hell in a handbasket without care. The long-term future is being sold for votes and some junk to fill the pockets for an illusion of participating in a democracy. It is hurtful and disgusting and so predictable…
