Continuation on the subject on eternal reward after death:
I want my reward now! I want to be happy now! I want to have a fulfilling life now! I want to do what I want now! I want everybody to have shelter and enough to eat and to have drinking water and electricity and free, universal schools and healthcare and ability to join different organizations without repercussions NOW!
I don’t believe in any form of life or consciousness after death, nor any form of reincarnation. That can be constructed as reward itself — sweet, permanent nothingness. I mean — what kind of reward is eternal bliss and worship of God’s glory? That would be boring, and that actually would be a hell for me. Why people think that this kind of eternal life is any reward at all? Why some kind of that vague promise can make people worship a given deity and follow a given religion? And persecute and damn people who worship a different god to hell?
It’s beyond my understanding. How easy is to manipulate those who have a need for easy and pleasant answers. Especially need for answers that match answers that were given to their parents, and their families and neighbors and compatriots? Do what is righteous, don’t demand equal share from those that have too much — you will receive your reward after death, and they will go to hell…
I don’t believe in any possible reward after I die. I have limited years here in this life on Earth. What I will do with it depends on me — I want my reward in this life and I will get my reward in this life! I know where to start on the road to being happy — right here in my head.
