I don't remember how I came into possession of this book. I don't remember who might have recommended it, or where I found enough positive information about it to get it. And I don't know exactly why I started reading it before the weekend — I guess for some reason that book just popped out at me when I was looking for my next read. Unfortunately, the first 30 pages were sluggish and confusing at that. And even after the initial confusion abated, the story—gently and lyrically woven as it was — was not going anywhere of any interest to me. I was about to add this book to my ever-growing list of did-not-finish books, but I decided to give it another shot for the next twenty pages before deciding to continue or bin it.

I have chosen well to give this book another chance. Once I got into it again, I finished reading it in one gulp. And it has been a couple of days since I read it and I still think about what I read— and that is the best measure I might have about any work of the creative spirit to pass a judgment on— and I go to sleep thinking about it as well. And I slept amazingly well over the last several nights since I finished reading this book. And that counts for something as well.

When using precise words to describe a situation or thoughts or actions, there is no need to hurry up anything. Precision allows for building a narrative step by step, without skipping or embellishing unneeded ideas. Precision allows for the shortening of thoughts and the subtraction of ambiguous words. That makes the process of using proper and correct words so much easier — since there are fewer of them. Precision in communication makes it possible not to reveal everything at once. Precise words imply and contain a correlation to a continuous train of thought — especially by what is meant by the unsaid ones. Precision allows for being judicial about presenting the thoughts and not being contained by a need to be linear in presenting them. Precision in conveying the mood and emotions fills me with joy.

I am not sure if I still talk about this book or communique in general, but anyway, my pleasure was undeniable while reading it and still is as strong as I savor the remembrance of what I read. Perseverance pays handsomely for those who engage in practicing it.
