A road trip today! I am very tired now, especially from driving on the back roads. It was really worth it though, I feel happy and content with how I spend the day off.

Highlights — an abandoned Jewish Cemetery in Krynki: (https://sztetl.org.pl/en/towns/k/677-krynki/114-cemeteries/18129-jewish-cemetery-krynki)

One of the oldest and biggest Jewish Cemeteries in Poland. Krynki before the II World War were a center for Jewish diaspora in Poland, there are still some remains of that community there:

Abandoned Hasidim Synagogue in Krynki.

It is not easy to get to the cemetery, the whole area is overgrown with grass and nettles. I cannot really describe this feeling once I got there, there are still plenty of headstones (matzevot) visible there. There is sadness there but the fact that there are small stones placed on headstones means that people still go there and the memory remains.

After that, a very difficult drive to Wierszalin, an abandoned village of a local prophet Ilia from 1930s. I will write a separate blog post about this place and my feeling about it soon, today just some pictures:
