I don’t need much to have fun; I am easy like that. Today I bought a new car, well — not brand new but “newish”. Got registration and insurance (to my surprise it took only 45 minutes in total), and I was ready to have fun. But I didn’t do much driving today for fun. I spend half a day just playing with all the gadgets and gizmos and electronic settings in that car. I think I spend at least 30 minutes trying to find the optimal setting for the driver’s seat. Another 30 minutes setting passengers’ seats. About the same amount of time getting a proper setting for the mirrors. Then setting a radio, connecting it to my cell phone, and pairing it with Bluetooth. Then playing with different heating control zones for the driver and the passengers. Then setting shortcuts on the steering wheel for all that. Then installing a windshield camera and hiding all the cables. Then checking and setting different options for the dashboard display. Then finding and setting the best place to put a holder for my cell phone — to be used with navigational app….

After all that, I took the car for the spin, didn’t like some of the settings, so I went back home and started playing and adjusting them again. Then it was dark already, and I wasn’t even halfway done — with settings and reading the instruction manual — when I decided to finish all that for today. That whole day, all that playing with and adjusting all the settings was the most fun I had in a long time. And I still haven’t got the car on the highway to play with the actual driving modes and settings yet — and that is going to be even more fun!
