New hobby
October 25th
I am not really sure how it happened but apparently I have a new hobby — houseplants. I have a garden where I have my plants, flowers, shrubs, and trees, and I never really gave a second thought about the plants inside the house. Over the last several weeks I started to notice how much more beautiful it is with plants in bloom inside. That gives my house a new, better look without any renovations or furniture rearrangement needed and what is more — those plants are growing wonderfully, with colorfull flowers and deep green leaves. Now I am reading all about houseplants, looking for new (exotic) plants to buy, replanting those I already have, moving some plants from the garden to plant them inside, buying fancy flower pots, etc. It just happened by itself, without me actually trying to do something different or thinking about any changes. I feel quite content about it, and that kind of work with houseplants relaxes me a lot — and I need any relaxation I can get (work is crazy again after a couple of months of relative stability). It is very pleasurable to find a new thing to occupy the mind and the one that also makes a difference in my interior decoration with a limited effort — manual and monetary. Ok, that second part about the costs might not be the truth — I have an eye on some tropical plants that are quite expensive. But on the other hand, I can get plenty of local, cheap plants that are just as beautiful for only a fraction of the price. Anyway — all that is a very agreeable and delightful development for me.
