None of this was created by human hands

I am not sure if I should be scared or grateful. I am amazed for sure by this. For several months now, I’ve been using this website that by AI magic generates works of art. All you have to do is to put several words of description of the subject, specify (or not) the technic and medium, click “generate” and in a few seconds, there are four different takes on that idea created by an AI.
Basically, with just a few clicks, you become an owner of a unique (digital) work of art. Something that has never been seen or created or thought about in that particular way. Something that will never be duplicated, no matter how many times you (or somebody else) will generate something from the same description. I use it mostly for generating images as headers for my posts and love the lovely output from a machine somewhere as the results.
That on top was created from this description — “interior of an old cathedral basking in a winter light, oil painting”.
This below is almost the same — “interior of an old cathedral basking in a winter light, watercolor”:
This one again is the same, except for the medium of creation — “interior of an old cathedral basking in a winter light, charcoal ”:
The next one is the worst of the bunch, I think — “interior of an old cathedral basking in a winter light, pencil drawing”:
But the next effort is simply stunning — “interior of an old cathedral basking in a winter light, baroque painting”:
And the last one feels like the machine read my mind and my mood — “interior of an old cathedral basking in a winter light, chiaroscuro”:
I am stunned, speechless, and stupefied by the ability of an algorithm to create those visuals from just a few words of a description. I know that the program was created by humans, but an end result is just a machine using artificial intelligence to create. To create something. To create something that was never seen before. And once machines start creating — that is my (irrational and luddite) worry about the future.
Doesn't stop me from using it, though.
