Private typographical etymology

house — is sturdy and low and warm and has a chimney

Haus — is sturdier and more solid on the ground and has a chimney

casa — is low and airy and more delicate

dom — is smaller and warm and compact and has a chimney

屋 — has several levels and a steep roof

maison — is sprawling and low and the chimney is mostly ornamental

मकान — is low and open from all sides

hús — smaller and close to the ground and warm and has a chimney

家 — has multiple levels and is semi-open

집 — has levels and is closely placed between others

הויז — is low and well secured and warm

All those words mean the same — warm hearth and family and safety and security and shelter from the storm and the rest of the world. Or should mean the same for every single person in the world, but I know in reality it might not for a lot of people. I am one of the lucky ones.
