Randomness

February 28th

Today is an absolutely gorgeous day. Not a cloud in the sky, full sunshine that makes everything look that extra bit sharper, more defined. It is still cold, about 2 degrees Celsius, but the inevitable coming of spring is in the air. A beauty of a day.

All that is marred by a thought of a madman, insecure and unhinged, that by his random order can destroy every good and positive thing.
There will be no spring for all those who die in Ukraine. Random bullet, random bomb, random explosion, random anything can end all that. One, the so-called leader of a nation, can take everything from regular people at any given random time. He can take away lives, he can take away lifestyle, he can take away property, he can take away safety, he can take away security, he can take away enjoyment, he can take away happiness, he can take away the normalcy of everyday life. Mostly, he can take away the hope. The hope of normal, peaceful living. The hope of seeing children grow up, or grow up without hate. The hope of a safe family home. The hope of the future.

One person.

One person who is now cornered in some bunker, detached from the reality of his actions. And he can escalate it even more.

There will be more random blood spilled, more random tears cried.

Even the blue sky now has a shade of anxiety.

“for they knew what sort of noise it was; they recognize, by now, the footsteps of the Furies”. Enjoying life on the road to recovery. Observing and writing.
