The Experiment of the World

To experience no longer an alienating world, we humans must find what is yet to be found in a possible world. That possibility lies in the experiment of the future, in the experiment of the world that we all — together and individually — must participate in and mold to our benefit.

Humanity everywhere still lives in a pre-history. Indeed, everything we ever experienced and touched is rooted in the idea of something that has already passed. Every moment we notice and react to something (or anything) is already in the past. At the moment we are aware of something, the actual experience is already gone. The creation of a true and constant world is still ahead of us, and ahead of itself. The genesis is not at the beginning but in the end. The change in thinking and seeing can happen only when we as a society can take ourselves by our roots. And I am under no illusions that it can happen any time soon, or at all.

The root of history is every individual human being who works, creates, reshapes, and overcomes the present realities and fears of the future. Too bad that the vast majority of those stories that shape every one of us will not reach anybody beyond the immediate circle of that person, and then will be forgotten — usually within a following generation. That is depressing, but it shouldn't stop us from trying. I know it will not stop me. I don't know if or when I will reach my ultimate goal, which is an immersion in safety and comfort that comes from a lack of desire and lack of need that comes only with renouncing the common ideas of society and its norms. Still, it is worth my time and my effort.
