Three days lost

June 17th

In my life, I lost a lot of things. Especially time — I lost countless days, many weeks, numerous months, and even a few years. Now, my time is precious and limited, and there is no way I would want to lose any of it. And yet — things happen that make it so. I got sick, basically. And quite unexpectedly — I was fine on Tuesday, planning my trip for the upcoming long weekend because of the public holiday on Thursday, and then on Wednesday, I couldn’t get out of bed. High fever, extremely painful sore throat, runny and stuffy nose at the same time, and muscle aches all over. I spend the next two days in bed, but I couldn’t even get any sleep — I was just tossing and turning and feeling very low. Today I was able to get to the doctor since the prescription pills I got on Wednesday weren’t working, so she prescribed me an antibiotic. Let’s see if that will help. But anyway — I feel terrible, I didn’t do anything since Wednesday — even reading a book was beyond my ability. I ate a lot though because I felt hungry all the time, and feel bloated now. Overall, it was shitty and lost time for me. And I am still not out of the woods yet. Hopefully, an antibiotic will work and I will get better by Monday. Staying in bed sick like a dog wasn’t in my plans about how I will spend my long weekend…
