Utopia within the material world

Better and smarter and more industrious people than me have tried it already before. In every case, any attempt to create a utopia within the material world has been an utter and disastrous failure. Every single time, the theory might seem good and reasonable, but the actual physical attempt can never match even the basic principles of the theory. I think that the idea of utopia should be left to only theoretical exercises and never again attempted in the real world with real people as test subjects. Of course, that wish is utopian as well, because there is no shortage of those who simply know better and think that everyone before them was wrong and a failure, but they do have all the answers and knowledge to pull it off.

The idea itself — the idea of utopia — is tempting and lends itself to wonderful imaginary explorations. I know that I create in my mind different scenarios of how it would be possible to achieve that. To achieve a harmonious, peaceful, industrious, well-balanced, post-scarcity society where everyone has the same standing and where the same opportunities are given to everyone. For me, it is a pleasure to explore this idea, with different possibilities and different ways to reach the same wonderful outcome. As long as I keep it in my mind, of course. If I tried to put it in writing, then the whole charm would go away. With a particular idea of utopia written down, there will be questions and nuances that would need more thorough thinking and analysis. There will be mistakes that are easier to see written down than just being as complicated thoughts. I will refrain from putting into words what is in my mind on the subject of utopia. I will keep enjoying the creation and development of different versions purely in my mind.
